Saved from Suicide and Drugs! Fire Feed Testimony

During one Fire Feed afternoon, God put it on a volunteer's heart to walk down a specific path in a park. As we got farther along, we saw a man hiding behind a barbecue. He was so skinny you could clearly see his bone structure. He had stuff everywhere, with drugs and a stanley knife by his side, and he was writing a note... a goodbye note. We approached him and started talking to him. He had no hope left and you could see it in his eyes. But he didn't want to be alone. He kept talking to us and didn't want us to go. We were able to tell him about Jesus Christ, our Saviour, the hope of the world! He listened intently and we were able to bring light in his moment of darkness. Skipping forward to the next Fire Feed, we saw him again. This time he gave his life Christ! He was so thankful for us and said how we really saved him and took him out of a dark hole. Skipping forward again, I saw him at the shops and his hair was all grown out, his face was puffed up and much healthier, and he was looking after himself. I was blown away. Only God can do this! How amazing is Jesus! There are so many hopeless people out in the world, but us as Christians need to let our lights shine.
